GOLDIE LOC LEAVIN DOGGHOUSE
« on: September 13, 2001, 02:23:55 PM »
(from Snoopsdoggpound.com)
, the site Raw Music TV put up a video interview of Goldie Loc. In the interview Goldie Loc said that he is going to start his own label in October and will still be part of Dogghouse, but not play as big a role. His solo album which was thought to be coming soon along with Tray Dee's album will not be coming out soon or at all. Goldie said he wants to put out some of his own acts on his label and then he might think of a solo career, but right now its on his new label. He didn't mention anything about splitting with Dogghouse, but it did seem like he was kind of splitting off into his own direction, but would still be part of Dogghouse Records probably signed with Tha Eastsidaz. This is just speculation, but it's like the same contract Daz and Kurupt hold on Dogghouse Records. They are signed as a group and not as solo artists. Goldie Loc has always put himself in a leadership position with producing talents. He first produced a song for a major album back in 1999 when he and Snoop hooked up for 20 Minutes on Snoop's No Limit Top Dogg album. He also produced and co-produced for song's on Tha Eastsidaz debut album Tha Eastsidaz. Goldie was considered more of a protege of Snoop than did Tray Dee. Now however, it looks like protege is going to have his own protege's and start something on his own. Good Luck to Goldie Loc and Dogghouse Records.

WHAT DO Y'ALL THINK ABOUT IT?

I dont like it at all.

I really like when there´s a records company like Death Row was back in the day: Everybody gathered on the same spot, like a big family. Not a superstar here and another there.
Aftermath R going in that direction, look at the roster now:
Dr.Dre
Eminem
Rakim
Hitman
Truth Hurts
6`2
Battlecat
Shaunta

The only one thats missing is Dj Quik, daaaamn it would be tight to see Quik on Aftermath!!!
And if he signed, U could almost compare Aftermath with the old death row roster.
Yes, i know that Quik wont sign with The Math cuz he got he´s own label soon.

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.

But remember, after Snoop came out with Doggystyle, he made his own record label, Doggystyle Records and after Eminem came out with The Slim Shady LP, he had his own label Slim Shady Records... I'm sure nelly will have one too.
