Yes sir...I went to her show last night. Luckily, my parents paid for my ticket (94 euros! INSANE! That partly explains why the venue wasn't sold out).
Anyways, if you have the chance to see her perform, grab the opportunity. It's well worth it: she played with a live-band non-stop for 1 hour & 45 minutes. Pretty decent if you'd ask me! And what a voice she still has...unbe-fucking-lievable. If you compare her voice to most contemporary R&B artists, THEN you realize "how the hell are these guys even getting paid to sing?". They can't sing for shit compared to someone like her. But what else is new, right?

She also told a little story about how she remembered performing at this particular venue (Forest National, Belgium --> It was the seventh time she performed here). Back in the early '80s, she was doing a show here and all of a sudden Marvin Gaye came up on stage. Apparently, he was sitting somewhere in the audience (for those who don't know: Marvin lived in Ostend, Belgium for a while) and to surprise Diana he joined her on stage out of the blue. There were some people in the audience yesterday who were at that show. Lucky mofo's...that was history right there.

Oh btw: she changed clothes 5 times. Real glamourous-like

Those are the type of concerts you could walk away from at the end and appreciate music. Shit musta been amazing.

And hearing stories like that is crazy, I think anyways.

Exactly. Plus, you could see that she actually enjoys performing for an audience, whereas some bands simply go on tour either for the money or because it's a contractual obligation. So once again: if you get the chance to see her perform, don't miss out on it!
And oh, btw: A LOT of nice young women and milfs seem to attend Diana Ross's concert, lol. That's a plus too of course

Lol, I hear that. Shit is so mellow, grown and respectful. I went to see Smokey Robinson before, couple years ago, shit was soooooo nice. I can't explain it, but it just makes you appreciate it so much more and makes you feel good.

Smokey did the same thang Diana did, he broke it down. Smokey went on to tell the crowd about the Motown days. Real great shit.

I'm still thankful I went to see that.

^^^^Smokey Robinson is coming to Belgium in June or July I think. I might buy some tickets for that one...I'll see.

Anyway, you seem to be the only one on WCC who's interested in Diana Ross. Where are the rest of you old school soul/R&B lovers?!

Lol, you got a point there I have to admit. I figure that at her age she wants to play it safe and asks for some extra euros per ticket. Plus, I'm not a concert-expert, but perhaps it had something to do with ClearChannel being involved.
