I can't speak on the album, but I sort of think allhiphop.com is kinda right in a way.
There's been lot of "party music" from west coast. Example: dj quik with that "can you work with that" track, Down "cholo" or something like that.  Just naming few.
But, i think west coast need to get back to the root.

it's just one person's opinion
True 8)

rap reviews werent to enthusistic about it either.

Ive only listened to it the once, it was built up on this site to be something amazing. Personally i think butch can do better but in all honesty i expect to appreciate the album the more i listen to it.

I heard a couple of promotional tracks and thought, "Blah".

Really, I don't have much sympathy for the West Coast when they complain they're being hated on these days.  90% of the time, it's albums like this being held up as examples of "the best" from the West, while equally party-oriented Dirty South records or East Coast records get hated on for not being G'd up enough.  West Coast cats have become such hypocrites these days that it's hard for me to think they were once the same people getting hated on by the East back when G-Funk was THE movement.

I kinda feel the same way.

You can't have positive without negative. I welcome the opinion of people that don't like what I/we do as artist's- It's the only way we know what you want from us.

As an artist/producer I don't change songs due to popular opinion, they just come out how they come out without thought.

But, I might say: "Hey they liked this one, so I'll put that one out."

Why wouldn't I embrace the haters?

The problem is when you get an angry writer who jus happens to be in a bad mood that day and has to write a review- We all have bad days.

I pay it no mind. It's just music man. He took it personal- Maybe he had a personal agenda. So, take the politrix out-

It either makes you wanna toke one or not- thats the way I see it anyway.

Plus there is a time and place for everything- "Back B4" is a "Party" album- We we're on let's have some fun shit.

You really gona freak out when you hear the "Ill Clinton" mixtape Bishop and I are doing- If you heard his last mixtape it was a no holds barred strong statement.

"Ill Clinton: Call to Anarchy" will be the same. Just my view on the world. Now that is a serious look. Something I've never done before. Bishop pushed me like I was in the fuckin gym or some shit.  And, he came in and listened the other day..

He came in to tear it apart, he left loving it.

You gona see a whole new side of Damizza. hahaha  8)

Keeping with the topic...

Damizza I respect you being able to take both good and bad criticism.

Now for the off topic that I'm dying to throw out there.

When's that Ill Clinton Mixtape supposed to drop?  How many tracks have you all done?  When can we hear an exclusive track from it?

Props for dropping in Damizza and speaking on that Ill Clinton project.

I thought the album was great, which is why I awarded them 4 Dubs in the DubCNN review. I thought 'Mizza's raps fitted the overall, laid-back vibe of the project and Butch's voice was as endearing as ever. Obviously, I didn't expect any revolutionary, conscious Hip-Hop. I wanted to hear a great party record, pure and simple. In those respects, listeners were rewarded. The whole project was seamless, sliding perfectly from one track to the next.

That AHH review seems the equivalent of someone who listens exclusively to Warren G/Dove Shack/Tha Twinz deciding to review the new Nas or Saigon album. It just shouldn't be allowed.

I agree with that statement.  I've grown up on mostly Westcoast Rap and prefer it more than Eastcoast or Southern rap so when it comes to me checking out artists from the East or South I tend to not like many or like their styles so I would probably give a review that people that were into Eastcoast and Southern rap wouldn't like.  I feel that's probably what was up with this reviewer.  Their not a fan of Westcoast Rap and so they didn't really feel the music like the rest of us do.

You know what, I agree with allhiphop on there review for "Back B4 You're Lonely!"  There was nothing tight about the album.  Damizza, to me, isn't a dope producer at all.  I never wanted to voice my view point about Mizza because alot of yall on here really really like dude, just like yall like Meech Wells.  Dude is hella cheesy when it comes to producing.  I mean I listened to the album to give him the benefit of the doubt but was disappointed.  Dude all his music he has ever done, to me, sound like a lil kid trying work fruity loops and try to use West Coast snares and claps like thats going to carry the beat.  ALl his sounds are weak to me!  Now, I have high standards when it comes to making tracks cause all the people I look up to like Cat, Quik, Terrace, Soopafly, 1500, Amp, THX,  Dre etc all make hot music ALL THE TIME!  Their wack shit is even better then Mizza's best, to me!  Look I'm just voicing this because I do make tracks, I'm a musician (check me out myspace.com/shaadg) and I just want to able to go out and buy some West Coast shit and know I'm going to get my money's worth on production that's all!  I'm not dissing or hating or no shit like that yall take it how you want to.  I mean more power to you if you like Mizza music, it's just my opinion!

Say what you want about me but my proof is in the pudding!  Check out my page!

Yeah, you've got it right Damizza, fuck the haters!  Everyone that likes this smooth G-Funk music is riding with you anyway, this asshole just didn't know what he was doing.
