The only upside is that Jerry West really has no reason to stick around Memphis now (had they got Oden I think he would've change his mind). As much as I want Gasol, I don't see how we could possibly get him. Too many odds against it.

Oh and this also makes the competition even more stiff. The Blazers and Sonics already gave us trouble. Now the Blazers will have Oden and the Sonics will have Durant. Why couldn't atleast 1 of these bastards go to the Eastern Conference
