Would Snoop doggs albums be more classic if he used the " dr dre" furmula and used 3 years on his albums instead of 7 month to one year.??

i mean is like "ohhh A Snoop dogg album again it was only 8 month ago" if he used more time his albums would sell more than platinum??...

3 years? Only Dre has that type of pull: people waiting YEARS for you drop another album.

If any other artist waits 3 years between records, they'll become irrelevent (Unless you're a MEGA star, and even then you have to be on a bunch of guest appearances to keep you face out there.

A year and a half, maybe even 2 for Snoop, but he'd have to be on a whole lotta guest spots...

I think that most people don't think that Snoop can drop a classic album, and I don't think more time for each album would help
The best way for him to stay relevant is to appear on some wack ass pop songs like PCD.

TBC proved that he still got it, but he he needs DOC and Dre's direction. Snoop don't know how to
to drop a classic album, some of his bests songs are leftovers today.

So True.

The problem with Snoop is he has SO MANY PEOPLE that he either works with on a album or wants to work with on a album that it makes it sound all over the place. He will even take a dope song off a album to do a song with someone else he wants to work with. His albums are becoming less cohesive.

one problem with dropping tracks is there's always going to be some people like and others don't as much. depends if it's more important to snoop that it's called a classic or has a lot of good songs...

there are some double disk albums i would like better if they made them top notch single disks. if they were single disks though and they released a leftovers album i would be interested in it... go figure.

Who is to say his albums aren't classic?

I've enjoyed all of his albums.....they always have some really dope tracks to bump......I look forward to him dropping an album 'cause I know its going to be decent.....

His worst album which IMO would say his 3rd solo DGITBSNTBT, listening to it now, theres some good production and classic tracks on thier......(the let down was rest of No limit)...But shit even that album has some good Meech Wells and Soopafly (although limited).

His albums have to appeal to a wider audience if your in the category as Snoop, which mean he may do a pop record here and a G-funk track there......He has to appeal to everyone not just us....It's not as easy as he has to do a gangsta record......Well then that fu*ks off his $$$ from the sales and Quadruples the bootlegging.....Times change, so you have to change with the times...

I mean if he followed Dres formula I probably wouldn't like his new album because I happen to think Dre has been weak production wise with the odd track here and there thats banging for a good 5 years now. Or like if he put less tracks and BCT was like whoever psoted the 12 tracks they liked, well I don't like some of those tracks, I like some other you left out.....which means the discussion would be the same you dig?

Don't get me twisted Snoop does tracks I don't like, But majority of the tracks are banging to me....and I think he has to be one of the most flexibly consistant artist out (in that he can do a pop record and a rnb record and a summer jam record and a gangsta record and they all be dope).

My opinion is that he drops at the right times and I think he has a few more dope records he can put out before his times up. But at the same time understand that this is IMO! Im not hating on no one!

That's exactly what I'm thinking.

However Snoop has made very good albums, some better than the others of course. If Doggfather, No Limit Top Dogg or Tha Last Meal aren't classic albums they are damn near IMO... BCT was also one of the best releases of 2006...
