Curb Your Enthusiasm (Season 1) - worth buying?

I've heard/read mixed reviews about this first season: some say it's worth the money, others say it has ups AND downs since some of the dialogues have obviously been improvised.

Some feedback of the good folks at WCC would be appreciated

i was just like you... i slept on this show thinking that it was some dry-humor bullshit type show.

a friend put me onto it and it was addicting.  definitely peep the first season (you can also stream the episodes online at various web sites to get a feel for the show).  i've seen every episode and the show really hasn't lost any of its momentum... the dialogue sometimes is drawn on for a little while... i told my friend that the plot the show could be cut down to 5 minutes, but it's the build up that makes the show so interesting.

the show is straight comedy, and i think everyone can identify with larry in some of the situations he gets into. Word of advice: watch each show in chronological order (you can watch the seasons out of order, but a season's episodes are made to be watched in order)

Yeah you've definitely gotta get it.  All the seasons are great, the weakest season IMO is the fifth if anything, but it's still good.

Alright, thanks for the feedback guys. I'll start with buying Season 1 only, see if I'll like it...
I'm also gonna buy Deadwood (1st season), Entourage (2nd season) and Seinfeld (5th season)

Yeah, should be a definite purchase, best comedy on TV by a mile for me. Can't wait until the next series in September, will be getting my Torrent on as soon as its on the web.

Best show on tv for sure.  I'd say Season 4 is the best, then 5, but all seasons are worth buying.  Season is pretty pretty pretty pretty good.
