King's" hat alway's looked better when it was free...lol(& it wasn't only the fan's wearing that shit!!!)"Al Davis, never paid us" - Ice Cubepeep's were getting beat down for that type of wear man, there was defo a dress code in Southern Caliduring the late 80's early 90's. it's not like today when you have everyone & their mama dressing "Hip-HOP"....lolit was a look you had to be able to back up.shit homie don't foget about the Nike "Cortez" bro...and the "Flight's", those you really got jacked for...lol
i wasnt claiming a neighborhood, but used to 'tag bang', which was the thing back then if you werent banging (eventually most tagging crews got jumped into neighborhoods anyway, or heads evolved from writing to straight banging.....most crews were affiliated wit a set in some way)..........outside of LA this probably sounds stupid......shit, it was stupid, im lucky i never got killed, i use to get blasted at almost everyweekend at these house parties.....been jumped a few times too.......but yes, times have changed alot....you can deffinately tell who's a gangsta and who aint nowadays, it aint that hard........its was more of a thin line back then......if you dressed 'black' or 'hip hop', and were latin, you got clowned for it.......nowadays its the cool thing

Cus they claim their crew against other crews but when a real gangster hits them up they dont say their crew.u can now tell gangster from tagger usually cus the gangsters wear the long white socks with their bald head and the tagger is more like a "baller". He gots the spikey hair wit the new shoes and everything.taggers are sometimes affiliated with gangsters but usually they aint got no real problems until the crew thinks they can just tag up their neighborhood and start hitting up people.
wow yet another stupid fuckin question by that cocksucker dameons
this is back in the early to mid 90's, even as late as 97'......back then we did dress like gangsters, and yeah, you could say that most crews were wanna be's, cuz they didnt full on bang......but believe me, their were crews back then that were straight banging over getting crossed out, fools getting blasted and everything, thats where the term 'tag banging' came from, it set apart the graffiti writers, who could peice and do burners, from the plain ol' tagger, who lived to cross fools out and dissrespect.....i could name crews from that era from where i live (the 818), that were pretty crazy but you wouldnt know who im talking about.......im sure the writers nowadays do look alot different....but back then the image was identicle to gangstas, believe me.........and i always claimed my crew whenever i got hit up.......most gangstas wouldnt give a shit cuz they looked at it like 'he's just sum punk tagger' althought sum would trip thinking i was afraid to claim the hood i was really from.....i got checked for this before.......and my crew did start to take on beef wit sum gangs over writing in their neighborhood, so shit did get dangerous for a minute, i got blasted at plenty of times........one things for sure, i never had new shoes or dressed like a baller! and i've been shaving my head since i was 15, so i damn sure didnt have spikey hair!.......times have changed..........
OLD SCHOOL FOR LIFE.
