« on: August 24, 2001, 01:48:14 PM »
i know a lot of motherfuckers hate this album but why?!?! i think dj pooh and daz did a good job producing this album and IMO this is snoops 2nd or 3rd best album man shit listen to songs like groupie, you thought, vapors, doggfather, snoops upside your head, snoop bounce, o.j. wake up, doggyland, and more shit this album is definetly better than game is to be sold not told and better than last meal or top dogg IMO i mean just cuz dre produced couple songs for the album(and they weren't even special) that doesnt mean the whole album is tight all of a sudden i know in top dogg DJ quik produced couple tracks and they were tight but several songs doesn't make up the whole album!!! but doggfather is tight and mad slept on i mean ya'll whine about the g-funk sound well, listen to tha doggfather and you'll love it man

Hell yizzo, it's tight. "Vapors" is some of the realest shit Snoop has come out wit IMO. I must admit it took me a few listens 2 latch onto the material but 4-5 yrs on it still gets rotation in my player now an' again. Not as much as "Doggystyle" but still  ;D

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.

i also think that people hated on that album is because it didn't sell much like doggystyle damn these teeny boppers just cuz you don't go multi-plat doesn't mean all of a sudden its a bad album i mean look at nelly, dmx, or ja rule just cuz they sell 3-8 milion records does that mean that they are good artists? fuck no these motherfuckers are disgrace to hip-hop IMO you get my point

Doggfather was easily Snoop's second best album...DOC and Dre weren't there to coach Snoop through it that's why his flow suffered a bit on that album, but the beats, guest appearances and lyrics were tight...

i don't get why people always say it was his flow that was off point,it was his voice and charisma!!! He lacked good voice and good charisma but his flow lyrics and usually delievery were on point,i think this was snoops lyrical height. I think like this with snoop albums:
1.Doggystyle
2.Doggfather/last meal/top dogg
3.Da game

so i like doggfather alot too,now that i think of it,Jakedogg is the only cat i know of that doesn't,sjhit even ENGIES likes it! peace-Tanjint
