NaS is definently the better lyrisist...i dont know how that one is being disputed. ice cube has very basic lyrics. befroe peopel start hatign on me, im not calling cube whack, i think OVERALL he is a better and more entertaining rapper than Nas. theres only one nas album i really bump (it was written), the rest i dont dig at all.

Ice Cube doesnt use the wordplay Nas does...but he uses his lyrics to tell a story...listen to Growin Up from Laugh Now Cry Later. So while you may think they're basic, they really arent.

Nas is probably the better Lyricists  But Cube's subject matter/topics appeal more to me and I still like his "direct" way of expressin' his minds. Plus he is a good storyteller.

But like some other dudes  said it's unfair to compare them, they're styles are to different. The only thing in common is that they're the best rapper of their coast

Nas nudges it with complexity in lyrics, but that is all he really has on cube and that isnt a drastic over-lap, its more of a drafting race than anything. Cube has better albums, delivery/flow, and overall is the more versatile and better artist. Period, lyrics are one thing but as an overall artist there is more to account than just "lyrics". fuck what you heard.
