Alright yall, i got some shit for you.  Many of yall cats on these boards have no idea.  You don't know the impact or you don't know what it was like to bump a new Pac album.  I was around in those days, and all I can say is it was a major reason why I love Hip Hop as much as I do.  I don't even give a motherfuck about WestCoast rap these days, but I was bumpin some Pac tonight, and it reminded me how real this shit was.  So anyway, bang this shit out with me, leave some comments, and if it inspires you, please drop some of Pac's music.  No remixes, just shit how he intended.  Peace Brothas!!!

yea man 2Pac is real dope

of course everyone knows the big hits and he's big because of his death and all, but he is for sure one of the best ever

when I think of some of his best tracks, he's completely original and a rapper that didn't take rapping lightly

doesn't come half-assed and never had a weak verse really, always had energy in his verses with knowledge

people get tired of him because others hype him up a lot but if you wanna be real about it then you gotta admit he's way at the top

I was only 9 when he died so I don't know what it was like back then but I can definitely understand and appreciate the rapper he was

Sorry i refuse to turn off a Noel Gallagher acoustic version of "whatever" to listen 2 this. And i used 2 be the biggest 2pac fan you're likely 2 meet. Todays hip hop scene has made me lose interest full stop.

Can't argue with Jrome and West Coa$t's posts, +1 for the knowledge, and 2Pac will always be one of the best. R.I.P and here's something from me, one of my favourite Pac songs

Great thread. Yeah it is hard to get into any music for that matter after BIG and Pac passed but Pac impacted me more. There were other rappers that were better lyricists, but Pac had that complete package in a mc that soooo many rappers try to have and never get. Big too. Definitely my all time favorite and too many hits to mention, new, OG, remixed, it doesn't matter.

Here is my all time favorite, Picture Me Rollin. Man he was in jail the year before and dropped a 9X platinum album the year after that. If that ain't Picture Me Rollin I don't know what is  8) R.I.P.

50 Cent is more "real" then Pac was, cause at least we know 50 did the dirt he claims, there's proof of it. He may be a mainstream rapper, make boring music nowadays, but his past is way more "real" then Pac's. So yeah, stop talking nonsense, Pac was at least 75% hype. You just stated that by saying that you looked forward to each album of him, that is hype.  8)

True that, but just like Biggie who grew up in the suburbs, nothing wrong with that, but imo it's wrong to claim things you have/had no parts in. I just mentioned 50 Cent cause many hate on him and say he snitched and all that, but the truth is he was in the pen a lotta summers cause he was really doing dirt, unlike the biggest stars who claim the same.

No offence to nobody, ya dig.

Street cred and jail time for me do nothing for my enjoyment of the music. If the music is dope then I bump it. And Pac had a wide range of music, from uplifting to morbid to upbeat to explict to raunchy to everything. It showed in his personality. He was fighting alot of demons in his life, the difference between him and regular people is like he said his life played out like a movie in the media. Dude was a very intellectual brotha and though I did not agree with some of his words or actions, alot of things he was going through I could relate to.

And that is something that is missing from alot of these artists now coming up. They come and go but they leave no impact. It is just a bunch of songs with words on it and a beat.
