Glasses Malone Officially Inks New Deal - June 27, 2007 By : Eddie

http://www.dubcnn.com

The news has been buzzing for weeks, but today we can officially confirm that Glasses Malone has inked a deal with Mack 10's Hoobangin' label through Cash Money Records! Glasses was originally signed to Sony's urban department, but it has since dismantled, allowing him to explore other options.

If you haven't heard it yet, check out Glasses's first single below, which we originally premiered back in March. The track is called "Malone" and is produced by Goldeneye. Play it as much as you can, and spread the word around!

Nope, that's the second single with Akon, which hasn't been sent officially yet.

Thanks for the reminder though, I updated the main site so people wouldn't think we're just fucking with old news.  I have no idea which will get a video, but my guess is the AKon one.

yeah he had offers to got aftermath, the 1.7 million was bullshit - it was just how much the deal was worth including budgets and shit

Damn so Mack 10 is fuckin with Cash Money again?

I wish Glasses the best, but I don't think this deal is a good one.

Props to G Malone, Mack has had a questionable past as a CEO in terms of putting out his artists projects. But with Cash Money behind it, hopefully it'll get Glasses name mentioned by underground heads all over.

trust me when i type this glasses is straight.sony didnt want glasses to go but  he wanted out once everything went crazy overthere with the closing of the urban department.Mack 10 has always put records out so for yall to say he dont is crazy now how many the sold is a different story.lil wayne is the man right now so cash money is a good look.if they didnt believe in glasses i dont think they woulda put him in a bentley.i think hes the only new west artist that have made over 400,000$ without a album out.i guess its true what they say, with success comes hate...........

At one time IMO, Hoo Bangin Records was one of the top west coast labels out. But over time there was little or no releases dropped. That is why Technic left along with CJ Mac because he was not dropping albums. He had good success with Da Hood indie but after that other than his own releases he has not dropped anything hardly. Hopefully he has a better deal in place with Cash Money.
