IM NEW TO THIS FORUM AS A MEMBER, IVE BEEN A GUEST FOR A WHILE & ALWAYS CHECK IN FROM TIME TO TIME...I KNOW THIS SITE WAS ORIGINALLY DEDICATED TO WEST COAST RAP & SINCE " CHICANO RAP" STARTED ON THE WEST COAST & RECENTLY HAS GAINED ALOT OF ATTENTION IN THE INDUSTRY & BUZZ ON THE STREETS I WANTED TO ASK THE MEMBERS OF THIS FORUM THEIR OPINION ON THIS MUSIC.

IF YOUVE BEEN LIVING UNDER A ROCK FOR THE LAST 5 YEARS & DONT KNOW WHAT CHICANO RAP IS CHECK THESE SITES:

the califarap.net site is actually based in germany by a chicano rap fan & their forum gets alot of views posts & visitors, & is basically the word on the streets.

I've heard alot of dope chicano tracks, as well a lot of bad ones, but i guess i can say that with the other rap track out there..

I AGREE BLU LACES, THERES ALOT OF WHACK RAPPERS IN ALL GENRES OF THIS GAME, BUT THE TALENTED ONES OUT SHINE THEM ALL & A SICK FLOW ON A BANGING TRACK CAN MAKE A BELIEVER OUT OF ANYONE!

I don't like cholo rap, it's wack to me, and I'm Mexican.

I do however like dope Mexican rappers, like, Omar Cruz, Psycho Realm, Guzzle, Quennie, and dudes like that.

welcome homie. I know the guy who owns califarap.net he lives next to my city and he introduced me to that sort of rap. I like some guys like Lil Rob, Mr. Knightknowl, Mr. Capone-E or Huero Snipes for example. I think it doesn't get the support it deserves on this site/forum. Y'all should check the both volumes of Ol' Skool Music by Mr. Capone-E because I always read how much y'all like talkbox and these two albums are 100% produced by Terry Troutman (brother of Roger Troutman and member of Zapp) and there is talkbox in EVERY track. it's hot.

i like the oldschool chicano rap.  Not really that oldschool but the ones from the middle to late 90's

People think chicano rap is all about killing and all that but not all of it is.  One of my favorite chicano rap artists are the lighter shade of brown.  their music has always been more laydback summer anthems type rap.

But i havent heard any new dope chicano rap cd is a long time.  i aint really into all that gangbanger chicano rap thats been coming out lately.

chicano rap isnt the most lyrical thing, but they make dope music to ride to.  just some feel good music

i like latin hiphop too. rappers like psycho realm and omar cruz.

yeah right lol. iīve been to damn every country in Europe and i aint never heard anyone bumpin chicano rap. i donīt mind latino rappers as long as their rapping in english coz my spanish aint what it used to be.
