I loved Julio G. I used to remember checking him out on 92.3 The Beat when he was hosting the 9 0' Clock bomb (Remember that!?). The biggest surprise was hearing Eminem on that show. It was Julio that sparked me liking Eminem and his crafty wordplay. I was very partial with Friday cause that was West Coast. Back then, I was sleepin'. Didn't realize how big he was apart of the west coast until I learned of him and Tony G produced a big Chicano anthem in the early 90's - Kid Frost's "La Raza."

Now I want to hear more of Julio G. I hope to interview him as part of the Rewind. Some day.

I'm gonna say it-Most down south Hip-Hop is garbage. If it wasn't for Outkast, UGK, Gipp, 36 Mafia and possibly Lil Flip and Slim Thug the south would be straight butt.
