Good question, I need m4a file to mp3.
Get Goldwave from mIRC, load the file, click save as, save as wav file to desktop, convert to mp3 using CDex. Either that or send me the file and I'll do it for you.

I have done it before myself when my parents have purchased tracks off of iTunes so I know it works.
is m4a the same as mp4?? if so use Foobar does the trick for me when converting music files.
