Yo, I've seen a lot of hating on this board, and some of ya'll hate on Ludacris because you think he is comercial, or he is from the South, and you don't even give him a chance. Well I think Ludacris is pretty dope, if ya'll heard his first LP you would see he's lyricaly great, and not a comercial rapper. You guys think just because his single appeared on MTV, and that he is a big name, that he is a commercial rapper with no talent, like Nelly, but that is not the case. Ludacris barely has any commercial songs on his albums, in fact, the single "Whats You Fantasy" was the worst song on the album...I just think Ludacris has great Lyrical abilatiez and ya'll hate on him because his single blew up. I advise all of ya'll to go check out his LP "Back For The First Time", it's got some lyrical heaters, and is really dope...And for all ya'll who didn't give him a chance when he came out, I suggest you re-think it, and peep some of his stuff...He is one of the Souths greatest Lyricist today...Peace

Word Up! Luda Is Mad Talented. I Thought I Was The Only Nigga On This Board That Thinks Luda Is Nice. "Back For The First Time" Gets 4/5 From Me. Luda, Outkast, And Face Are Def The SOUTH's Top Lyricists. Luda May Not Be Phenomenal But He A Much Better Lyricist Than 95% Of Niggaz Comin' Outta The SOUTH! I Used To HATE The SOUTH Unless It Was Outkast Or Face. Now I Have Opened Up And Like A Lot Of Shit Comin' Outta The SOUTH. Eightball And MJG DON'T SLEEP!

I ain't never hated on him....I coppd his LP a few months bak & I bump it regularly. I don't think "Whats Your Fantasy" is all bad either....It ain't his most impressive but I can listen without skippin' an' shit. & "Area Codes" is hella dope. He ain't in my top 10 emcees or any shit but he nice enough 2 bump.

i like ludacris.. hes tight, when a song comes up and its featuring him i usually look foward to his part.. because it sounds tight and comes good.. when his next album drops.. i'm gonna get that for sure

Cris is one of our best hopes. He reminds in one way of Cee-Lo and the Goodies; Overshadowed by his homies, perhaps unfairly.

He's dope, but his style sometimes puts people off. I feel him a lot in some ways, but his stuff can be pretty empty.

BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT

he is in no way or form a lyrical mastermind, that's one of the stupidest things iv'e seen on this board....he has funny punch lines that make a song dope but he's not all that lyrically sound

I never called him a lyrical mastermind...I just think he is a great lyricist...Listen to song number 1 on "Back For the First Time"...That's lyricaly dope...He's nowhere near, Nas, Rakim, Crooked I, Xizbit, etc...But he is a good lyricist...

yeah he is, i like him but his lyrics are pretty simple he just exagerates them and his voice make them sound dope
