Cant really choose, thats what i picked. But if it were a life and death situation LOL, id have to say 2001 cause thats near the time i started listening to rap and hip hop!!!

EASILY The Chronic. 2001 is a great album, but it isnt a top tier classic like Chronic, AMW. DC. Doggystyle etc...2001 isnt even better than Bow Down or Dogg Food, but thats not an insult to 2001..just that people sometimes get carried away because its a Dre album.

me being 17 i didnt really get into hip hop til bout 2000-2001, and the first hip hop album i bought was "2001" so thats my favourite outta the two, but they are both top notch stuff.

if i had to pick one, i take 2001 n steal The Chronic so i had both lol

in my opinion 2001 is a musical masterpiece, Dre once again re-defined the sound of hiphop. it is a true classic. i aint saying Dogg Food or Bow Down are shit albums. they are GREAT albums, however they aint a classic like 2001 is.

I hear ya..the great parts of 2001 are GREAT but the album falls off after tracks 11-12 and has some filler, that has to count for something. IMO, Bow Down & Dogg Food were shorter albums with no weak tracks..maybe they dont have tracks at the level of The Watcher, Still Dre, or Whats the Difference, but they had no weak cuts either.

i dont think that 2001 has any filler, besides the skits, however the beats on em were banging. all the actually tracks are great. and i agree with you, the songs on Bow Down and Dogg Food arent at the same sort of level as some of the songs from 2001. that being said, each of the albums are good with some classic songs on them.
