One involved source said the final package will have the Celts sending Al Jefferson, Ryan Gomes, Gerald Green, Sebastian Telfair, Theo Ratliff and a No. 1 pick to Minnesota to acquire Garnett

but two of the sources cautioned that any trade may not be as imminent as some early reports indicated.
As the trade currently stands, the Celtics would send Gerald Green, Ryan Gomes, Sebastian Telfair, Theo Ratliff, and two first-round picks to the Timberwolves for Garnett.
Al Jefferson is not included in the deal at the moment.

Wow I really didn't think this would happen anymore and it did. Even without Jefferson we could still be the team to beat in the atlantic division if we get a couple of more decent backup guards and we really need a reliable center besides Kendrick Perkins.

I will always be a Pacers fan first, and for that reason I hate to see Boston become a contender. But as a sports fan in general, and a HUGE KG fan, I'm glad to see the Celts with a chance to return to a good franchise. Its about time they get out of the toilet. Forget thier fluke run in the early 2k, they have just been dismal.
