NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports the Raiders are in conversations with free agent Daunte Culpepper after having him in for a tryout.

This sounds like either a direct indictment of how Josh McCown has played in early practice or a means to create leverage in talks with JaMarcus Russell, who remains unsigned.
