overated movies
« on: August 02, 2007, 09:06:15 PM »
goodfellas -  could of been good, had a good story but subpar cast and acting killed it.
dumb and dumber - how is this classic when the sequel is 10 times better
training day - good action but the movie was all over the place, no chemistry

This thread and the replies to the thread must be a joke? If y'alll think movies like Godfather, Goodfellas, Raging Bull & Training Day are overrated, what kind of movies do you like?

Every Star Wars movie, The Slience of the Lambs, Pulp Fiction, Citizen Kane, The Matrix, The Departed, The Shining, Forrest Gump, Terminator 2,  anything involving Indiana Jones, Finding Nemo, and Shrek, to name a few.

We need more movies like Gliter, Baby Geniuses, Kazaam, and From Justin to Kelly

Saw is a great film. Number 2 and 3 are definetly over rated.

I do hope that most of you can sense the irony in some of these posts...(not the first post though, this dude seems to be serious, lol).

Anyways, on a serious tip: I watched Thelma & Louise on TV the other day, and dammit man...what a waste of my fucking time. Can't believe Ridley found this script interesting. Boring dialogues throughout the movie, unlikely events (e.g.: getting the help of the Feds to find T&L when the police doesn't even have probable cause) and overacting by Keitel towards the end of the movie.

LMFAO, Glitter and Kazaam should have won an Oscar, Goddamnit!  ;)
