What is Miami going to do?

Monday afternoon, guard Dwyane Wade wasn't thinking about the players the Heat was unable to sign during the off-season. His mind was on tutoring 400 kids at the Topps Basketball Camp at Nova Southeastern University.

But eventually the media arrived, and so did questions about his team's inability to obtain a No. 3 scorer, an off-season goal of Heat President and coach Pat Riley.

"Everyone's anxious to see what the Heat's going to do, but one thing fans should understand is it's not like we haven't tried," Wade said. "We've had our hands in every piece of the puzzle, but for whatever reason, green reasons, it hasn't worked out.

"You can't be mad at Maurice Williams for taking the money he took" to re-sign with Milwaukee, Wade said of the point guard Miami sought before signing Smush Parker.

As much as I enjoy watching that team crumble, it makes me wonder what the fuck is going on over there.

Jason Kapono - signed with the Raptors
Eddie Jones - signed with the Mavs
James Posey - listed 4 teams he wants to go to (Miami wasn't one of them)
Antoine Walker - supposedly said he's not happy in Miami and wants to return to the Celtics (perfect timing)
Dorrell Wright - rumored to have told his agent that he's not happy with his role and wants to play in Los Angeles

Mo Williams - looked like a sure thing but ended up staying in Milwaukee
Mickael Pietrus - Says he wants to go play for the Heat, but this could end up being a re-peat of Mo Williams

Smush Parker - they made it clear they needed a point guard upgrade and this is who they signed?

I'm expecting Pat Riley to announce his retirement any day now.

people suck
Cause I don't care where I belong no more
What we share or not I will ignore
And I won't waste my time fitting in
Cause I don't think contrast is a sin
No, it's not a sin

Are u enjoying watchin the lakers crumble? The Heat just like the Lakers have two legit scorers. IMO the Lakers will miss the playoffs this season the west is thick.

you're also forgetting that Mourning is probably going to retire possibly this season as well. so there goes a significant back up for shaq.

the way i see it , the heat will catch the 7th or 8th. the time is right to start building around just wade now . instead of shaq and wade.  i think this might be the last year you can run the offense through shaq consistantly. if you're smart you let shaq be a mental leader and bring in a suitable second option that will compliment wade and be respectible to allow shaq to defer to a 3rd spot.

Their purpose was to win a ship with a veteran team , they succeeded in but now almost every player is washed up so they will be average for some years ... but still South Beach is very attractive  so they're doing a very poor job to sign some solid players ... I guess Shaq isn't atttracted (no homo) other players like back in the day , well his downfall explains it .... the pb for them is how many games Shaq gonna play ? 45, 50 not more

Alonzo said he's coming back this last season for sure, he just hopes Pat Riley will come back too. I'm not sure if Payton is coming back tho.

granted he doesn't get hurt again he should play around 69-72.  miami didn't do that bad last year considering their two biggest stars missed the whole season when you combine their injuries.

Oh yeah no doubt. I think Zo will finish out this next season. Win or lose this his last season in the NBA.
