Question to the Scots. Don't you get bored seeing Celtic and Rangers win the league every year nearly. I know the English league can get dominated by teams (Aka Man U) but it doesn't feel as dominated by two clubs. What do you lot think about the idea to move Rangers and Celtic to the Premiership and where do you'll think you'd finish if you were in the Permiership.

That question is always flung around. I think to an outsider it would be boring. And as the SPL only has 12 teams in which each team plays each other 3/4 times a season it is quite boring in that sense but it's not like I'd like to lose the league more often in order to feel that the league is more exciting.

Winning >>> Not being bored.
NO MORE WAR

true that ^^^ ud probably be on the level of someone like Man city and could only ever hope of a UEFA cup place. At least in the SPL u get trophies and a chance in CHamps League. Although you're usually a little out of your depth in a tough group.

PS: how the fuck in kenny miller doing so well in scotland. he was complete shit at derby... :-\

Dani Pacheco shines in Holland

Daniel Pacheco was in impressive form as Liverpool Reserves reached the quarter-final of the International Cor Groenewegen Tournament in Holland.
The Spanish striker scored five goals including one sensational Xabi Alonso-esque effort from the halfway line against Danish side FC Copenhagen.

Included in Gary Ablett's squad for the tournament were Youth Cup starlets Lauri Dalle Valle, David Amoo, Thomas Ince and Alex Kacaniklic.

In their first game a young Reds team beat AZ Alkmaar 4-0 with Pacheco (2), Dalle Valle and Icelandic midfielder Victor Palsson on target.

Dalle Valle was again on target in the second game but Portugese outfit Belenenses edged it 2-1.

Pacheco then scored from inside his own half in a 2-0 win over FC Copenhagen, which also featured a goal from Swedish winger Alex Kacaniklic.

A 2-0 defeat to FC Utrecht then followed before Pacheco scored a brilliant free-kick in a 1-1 draw with FC Twente.

The former Barcelona ace was again on target as the Reds beat Vitesse Arnhem 1-0 in their final game but it wasn't enough to make the semi-final.

Dani Alves’ Sevilla-To-Barcelona Transfer Fee Could Balloon To €41m

The Blaugrana are about to learn that their superstar right-back will cost them more than they initially expected.

Barcelona aren’t the only ones to benefit from Dani Alves’ superlative debut season at the Camp Nou.

The Brazilian played in integral part in helping the Blaugrana clinch the treble, even though he missed the Champions League final due to suspension, and his hugely successful campaign is about the net his former club, Sevilla, a handsome transfer bonus.

The 26-year-old signed for Pep Guardiola’s side last summer for €29 million, with an additional €6m in performance-based fees. But according to AS, there are now reports that the fixed amount was actually closer to €35m, and Sevilla’s outspoken president, Jose Maria del Nido, has even come out to boast about the transaction.

“We knew how to resist the offers launched by Chelsea and now everything has turned out well,” he was quoted as saying by AS.

“We will charge Barcelona a maximum €6m in variables according to their achievements and this condition applies every single year of his contract.

“If Alves were to be sold, they still have to pay us the remainder of the transfer fee plus the €6m. That’s why when we said that we would sell him for €41m, we would obtain €41m.”

This season alone, the Andalucians will pocket an extra €2.25m from Barca: €750,000 for winning the Champions League, another €750, 000 for La Liga, €250,000 for the Copa del Rey, and an additional €500,000 for qualifying for next season’s Champions League.

The profit is made all the sweeter considering that Sevilla purchased Dani for barely €1m from Bahia in 2002.
