True,a team like Spain or Brasil would be really hard to beat, especially with this young, unexperienced team Germany has. But even if your team is inferior, the other one has to score a goal first. ven if you don't beat them, they still need to beat you
Germany usually relies on a gk who can compensate all this, and especially Spain always had  problems with their nerves. Football is not a spot of individuals, it's a team sport, and some teams don't have the team spirit Germany often has.
It doesn't count how good your individuals are in general, it counts how good they are in a decisive game. German teams can play above their potential in these games, while teams like Netherlands  play brilliant in the group stage but choke when it counts.

I agree with all of this, sir. Germany have a great ability to play badly (well, maybe not badly but grind out results) and still succeed. This is why theyre always in the latter stages of the international tournaments. Personally I wouldnt agree with people when they say you won't get past the group stages.

Most people  have lowered their expectations (most would say QF or SF, a year ago this would've been totally different), but it wouldn't surprise me if we still achieve more than some of the so called 'favourites'.

The fact that no-one is favouring you or fearing you might actually work in Germany's favour. Same for Argentina in a way. Everyone is looking at them like theyre a bit of a joke because of Maradona being the manager and their qualification struggle. I'd say both Argentina and Germany are dark horses to take the competition. Even as an Englishman I'd wouldnt be surprised if both Argentina and Germany do better than say, England and Holland.

Burnley could have held on if they didnt lose Owen Coyle though. Sure, it would have been messy but they may have had 6 or so more points to their name. Blackpool, if they hit the ground running and do what Hull did two seasons ago and amass enough points early to help them later on, then they may survive. Against the odds but they might do it.

Both goals were amazing. Milito was ice cold. But I always said bayern's defense is not good enough for European competition.
