does anyone go surfin here?

i just found out my friends been going every weekend this summer, had i known earlier i woulda started too.. but better late than never.
i used to skate, and still snowboard.. and i used to swim like crazy too, so i think i got what it takes to pick up surfing..


what kind of equipment do you guys suggest for beginners? brands?
I'm going to pick up a wet suit too.. but being that I live in LA, it shouldnt be too much of a problem..

i'm kinda excited.. been spendin way too much time indoors, and i need to get out and do something actually exciting..
