Playing James PF this summer won't be a problem coz there aren't strong opponents .. but in JO 2008 against great teams , that would be a huge dismatch against great teams which can control the tempo, slow it down and pound it inside ... though Bosh probably will be the starter at 4 at this time ... I still think the US team is focusing and talkin too much about shooting ... they lost against Greece coz of a very poor D on the perimeter ... when a defensive oriented team (even if their team offensive execution is a model) like Greece scored 101 in 40 minutes , your defense is a pb..

Durant shits all over Tyson Chandler.  If they need rebounding and a 3 point shot, it's Durant.  I'm not trippin, Durant is better than some cats on that squad.  And I guarantee he's using that shit as motivation.  Dude is fucking ill and he's gonna be a superstar.  Write it down, take a picture.

Durant's defense and rebounding abilities don't compare to Chandler's...

True, but at least in the Venezuela game our 3 point shooting was atrocious, and FT shooting could have been better.  And Durant is a solid defender and rebounder, I think his plusses outweigh Chandler's.  But I wont front, Coach K knows what the fuck he's doing.  I still think this is gonna be one of those things that is looked back on in like 5 years and people will wonder how it ever happened.

anyway the team did fairly well, we could play better but we're just trying to gel as a unit. we SLAUGHTERED VI's so that's good, i just want to see more of that against teams like Greece and shit.

Durant is good, but his inexperience and rawness can really harm him, especially in international play. I don't think I woulda' cut anyone on the current team over him. Mike Miller, Michael Redd, and Kobe will erase the shooting woes of previous years, I'd say. And the fact that there was a jam on the perimeter didn't help the matter as well...PeACe
