EA Explains Slow PS3 Madden
Developers are still struggling with Sony's new console.

August 15, 2007 - IGN scored the PlayStation 3 version of Madden NFL 08 a full point lower than the Xbox 360 version because of the slower frame rate which caused the visuals and gameplay to suffer. Other media outlets, such as USA Today, faulted the PS3 version for the same reasons. In a statement to GamesIndustry.biz, Electronic Arts attempts to explain why Madden's game isn't as fast on Sony's console. Apparently, it was simply because the developer, EA Tiburon, was more comfortable and knowledgeable about working with the 360.

"In the case of the next-generation consoles, many publishers have been developing titles for the Xbox 360 for over three and a half years while everyone who publishes now for the PlayStation 3 with the exception of Sony has been developing for the PlayStation 3 for only a little over one full year.

"The differences in the overall knowledge of the hardware is vastly different for both consoles and, as is the case with newer technology, it is very difficult to get it right the first time."

Madden NFL 08 is the second game in the series to appear on the PS3.

Madden 08 is a good game and better then 07 but FUCK, so many FUCKIN FUMBLES AND PICS lol, fuckin gay, as if there werent enough in 07, theres even more now, its not realistic, theres like AT LEAST 10 pics n fumbles in one, 2 minute a quarter game, YES 2 MINUTE QUARTERS lol, fucked up, but all in all good game lol!!!
