Good movie, but I think it went over my head unless there was nuthin' to get.

I'm looking for an answer, so if you ain't saw it, don't read.

What was the bank robbery about? There was too many thangs you had to figure out by yourself, like the blonde girl's deal. The attorney and the Mr. Cass, or whatever his name was. They were always talking in code. But what did the robbers want, pearls? That Nazi folder/paper? Can someone explain? Please.
