Did HITTMAN appreciate the opportunity?
« on: August 25, 2007, 03:08:29 AM »
Did HITTMAN appreciate the opportunity which is given by Dr. Dre on Chronic 2001 ?
You know 2001 was a classic album of a legend producer/rapper and Hittman was the guy who featured most in this album.
Dre gaved this change to Snoop only before, and Snoop is a legend today. Then he gaved this change to Hittman named rapper we never heard before. And today there is no Hittman in the game. Ok, Dre released a solo for Snoop after Chronic and he didn't do it for Hittman. But is the problem an unreleased solo album for being unsuccesfull for Hittman?
Or HITTMAN is a wack rapper? He ain't got anything special to be a star? Dre choosed the wrong guy?
What do you think about it, let's discuss

Hittman was a good rapper, he just failed to make a good album, and wasnt able to produce any hit songs

Hittman is an unbelieveable talent, 1 of dre's dopest proteges ever (lyrically IMO)...i wouldn't say he didn't appreciate the oppourtunity, but he decided to stay true 2 himself instead of do whatever it was dre wanted him to do (he said the situation failed because they weren't seeing eye to eye on his project)...i don't get it, it's all gangsta rap 2 me :-\

Hittman is far more than an ok rapper. When I was 12 and 2001 came out, I wasn't that impressed by him but now that I'm older and my ears have been cultivated by more music than before, Hittman's one of my favorite west coast MCs.

hittmans a cool rapper. but he def wouldnt stand out.. i mean dre brought out snoop, which is like the #1 most charismatic rapper ever.. so its kinda hard to like fill those shoes.

Hittman's ridiculously charismatic but

a)his rhyme schemes are more complex than what the average persob digests easily

b)he's a big dude in the post Biggie generation. Biggie was the last big rapper to blow up before it got to the point where you need a reality show, cribs appearance and constant interviews getting bitches to want you in order to sell your records. B.I.G. himself couldn't blow up in this market climate.

I think Hittman is definitely a lyrical rapper that maybe did not fit the mold into what Dre was doing at the time 8)
