Friday or Next Friday??
« on: April 25, 2002, 06:05:36 AM »
What one do ya thinks better, for both soundtrack and movie? Both soundtracks and movies were really good but here's my Opinions:

MOVIE: Friday (the original's always better), I've watched this a few times and I still think it's as good as it was when I first saw it.

SOUNDTRACK: Next Friday, Friday is alright got a few tight songs from Ice Cube, Dre and Threat as well as a few other more 'Old School' rappers that have been around for awhile, but I prefer the Next Friday S.T. It's got that tight N.W.A reuion song feat. Snoop 'Chin Check' as well as Ice Cube's club hit 'You Can Do It' and other tight songs from Vita/Ja Rule, Wu-Tang, Lil' Zane, Eminem & Kurupt & others. Along with a few RnB style songs from Toni Estes & Aaliyah.

I own both movies on DVD, and there's no question in my mind as to what film is better... the original "Friday" from 1995 takes the crown... basically Chris Tucker made the difference... damn, how I missed him in "Next Friday"... although Sticky Fingaz & The Lady Of Rage had some cool roles, Mike Epps couldn't replace Tucker... he simply lacked the latter's charisma and talent, IMO... in conclusion, I think "Friday" was by far the most entertaining and best motion picture out of the two.

"Friday", no doubt about it, thats where it all began. I like "Next Friday" but I think without Chris Tucker it lacked in original comedy, but NF still made me laugh like a mofo  ;D

Mike Epps wasnt that bad. Who can forget Mike's classic about his ex's big sister (lady of rage) when he went off at her about the bootleg candy. LMAO thats just classic

"I know you don't smoke weed, I know this. But I'm going to get you high today, cause it's Friday, you ain't got no job and you ain't got shit to do."

Break Yourself fool, Friday is better then Next Friday for sure, thanks to Smokey (been smokin since he was two). Me and my friends watch Friday almost everytime were sitting around smoking. Best stoned movie ever.
I reckon the soundtracks are about equal.

P.S. I used to be a fan of Chris Tucker until he said he wouldn't return to play Smokey again cause he don't want to be affilated with drugs. He would much rather dance in Michael Jackson's clip and be affilated with child molsters. Peace.
