I still dig The Shins, I think their style changed a little bit, but they are still putting out good music. Kenna is pretty good, it's not necessarily rock, because all of the digital production from The Neptunes, but I still think it's really good music.
"Right Now" by Van Halen is the only rock song that's not complete trash.

No way have you listened to every hip hop song ever recorded yet you have listened to Van Halen. Shame on you.
my throat hurts, its hard to swallow, and my body feels like i got a serious ass beating.

Yeah, Lou Reed and Velvet Underground was pretty cool, definitely different style. I remember I first heard him, The Grateful Dead, and a bunch of other shit like that when my step-dad would play it, and I wasn't sure about it.Also, just about anything by Tom Petty or The Who is pretty damn good.
if you like Lou Reed you really gotta fuck with Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, and Devendra Banhart all of which were either influenced by or directly influenced Lou Reed-T
not that i'm hating on dude cause to each his own but it's hilarious that when abdul infinite finally gives rock a chance it's some Van Halen. who starts with the 80s? I guess hip hop, arguably.-T
