Chick Hern's energy brought out the best in Stu Lantz. Now he sounds just as blan and boring as Joel Meyers (until Kobe does something insane and he burst out with his signature "ARE YOU KIDDING ME" phrase).

Stu Lantz is bland? LOL...True, Chick knew how to carry Stu amazingly, but IMO, Stu is still the same insightful dude he's always been, and is very capable of being as objective as he has to. One of the better color commentators out there...PeACe

Yeah he's bland now. Sounds like Joel Meyers is boring the fuck out of him. Chick was so into the games he MADE Stu get into it. If you can do that in the Elden Campbell era - you know you're the man.

Stu knows the game...Dude tops his useful insight with the occasional humor he adds to the commentary. He's hardly bland.
