Kinda defeats the purpose to freestyle if it is written. Might as well call it a reciting instead of a freestyle. And SO many artists are doing it. I will buy a album and be like I heard this verse before, and it ends up being the verse they "freestyled" on Rap City.
The word freestyle doesn't have the same meaning it used to. Nowadays freestyle just means 1 verse or incomplete song. I'm a huge fan of both Joe Budden and Cassidy but there's no way in the world I'll ever believe they freestyled those songs. Crooked I didn't freestyle any of his Hip Hop Weekly songs either.

Like "Died In Your Arms Freestyle" or "International Players Anthem Freestyle".
