Question About That Infamous Source Awards

  Alright.... what actually happened that year? Who fought?

  I didn't have access to the internet back then so I guess I kinda missed all the rumors. All I got to see was this lil 20 second thing they showed on the news. They asked rappers how they felt about the fights.... and they showed a lil clip of one of the fights... but I didnt recognize anyone.

 And on that E-40 vs. Snoop post people were talkin about how it was E-40 vs. Mac Minister.... and I've also heard about DeathRow having something to do with it... and  another rumor about E-40 getting jumped and the Hot Boys running away...

 What really happened though?

from what i can remember

Some people around Dj Quik got in a scuffle on the way in he was detained but released pretty soon after to go back in.

At some point after Mobb Deep( i think) performed folx in Death Row shirts got up and made a move for the stage shit basically the 2 camps didnt do much. there were some shots of soopafly and tray deee stepping up to a row of folx in DR shirts but it got broken up too

meanwhile mac minister snatched e-40s (allegedly worth 50,000 bucks) sik wid it chain (which never turned up!) there were some good shots of that

as everyone was leaving snoop turned back to get dre saying 'ohh noo dr dre's in side' or something they had this bit up on the mtv site in realvideo

yea what Overseer said is pretty much correct. ill just elaborate a little if i may...

on the red carpet some punk hit one of Quik's entourage with a sucker punch, so the two guys started scrapping. Quik was trying to break it up, then got arrested and held on the floor by the police (in a white suit!). the whole crowd was chanting 'LET QUIK GO' it was tight.

mac minista snatched 40 waters chain, then proceeded in getting his ass beat by E40, D-Shot, B-Legit, Dru Down and the Hot Boys. afterwards his face was covered in cuts and bruises. there are clips of him after looking beat up and scared, then u see dru down laughing and shoutin 'woooo it got crazy' or sumthin.

i dont know what went on with death row/ eastsidaz but i would guess death row fans make it out to be a lot more than it really was.

jay-z was said to of killed some crips and was spotted loading somone into his trunk (which is false i think)

a couple members of bone got fucked up pretty bad i don't know all who except for krazie

there was a bunch of people tryin' to mob lil bow wow but his mom and Jermain Dupri ran him out to a back trailor or somthing

i also remember hearing about somthing with the big tymers and somthing about eve


i dunno though but this year i got a feeling somthing might happen again

In tha Bone site last year, it said one of tha shots dat waz fired accidentally hit one of tha Mo'thug members, dats why Bone jumped in  2 beat down whoever they though did it, but they got their ass beat cause there was only 2 of em.

And on tha ET program, It showed backstage where Some people wearing all red trying to get in but were gettin sprayed by cops. I guess they were from Deathrow.
