Mellow Man Ace is the SHIT! "Mentirosa" was the original spanglish hip hop joint...that used to be my jam along with Kid Frost "La Raza" the sax on that song still kills me...ayo Frost should hire Fred Wreck as his producer since they did "Mamacita" together..that'll bring Frost back up!

 Yeah, I kinda knew you were gonna be one of the only people who have heard it...... or understood it.

 Man, I was YOUNG when that song came out. I was probably like 4-6.... they used to play it on tha radio all tha time..... everyone used to bump it... even the parents.

 I downloaded it from napster a couple months ago and it was the first time I had heard it in yearz...... it took me back.

i was lookin for that song for a hella long time...so back in '95 i went to a record store and copped a LATIN HIP HOP compilation..."Mentirosa" was on there..."La Raza"...and "On A Sunday Afternoon" by Lighter Shade Of Brown! Yall Know Them? They Was Some Dope Shit...

  LoL.... yeah, Lighter Shade Of Brown used to be tha shit. They also had "Brown & Proud", "Homeboys" and "Latin Activity"... and I aint too sure but didnt they start that whole "Hey Dj  wont you play that song... keep playin it all night long".. I know they sang it but did they start it? It's crazy if they did cuz that's shit has been sampled by so many people.

  One of the guys from Lighter Shade Of Brown, ODM (One Dope Mexican) has his own radio show where I live..... in tha big INLAND EMPIRE 909 area... on KGGI 99.1.... they be playin some wack ass music though so I dont really listen to it.

  Kid Frost was tight too....

  What about N2Deep from the Bay Area I think.... remember their hit song "Back To The Hotel".... that's a straight west coast classic right there... from wayyyy back.

naw "Hey D.J." is an old skool hip hop song...i think L.A. Dream Team did that originally but LSOB was the first peeps i know that sampled that shit...then mariah to az was sampling that joint...

N2Deep was the shit...they had the same saxophone sample as Wreckz N Effect LOL! i remember seein them niggaz live at K-Rave back in '92/'93..a big ass party they held in Knotts Berry Farm that was the shit! N2Deep Got Booed Off Stage Though LOL! anyone else go to that shit? shit was bumpin!
