Timbaland Challenges Dr. Dre To A Chart Battle

Timbaland plans to follow in Kanye and 50's footsteps, and challenge Dr. Dre with a chart battle.

Timbaland, who looks up to Dre and even told sources that he calls Dre his daddy, said this would be big and believes it would drive people to the music stores. Timbaland recently decided against producing the Missy Elliot record so that he could focus on his own indie label, Mosely Music Group.

He will only work on selected tracks for her album. Timbo told sources that Missy is his sister and it's nothing personal, but he has a family to focus on and if he can't function then they can't get their own careers off, referring to Nelly Furtado, Keri Hilson, and One Republic.
