daz/dre beef - daz/tupac album
« on: July 18, 2001, 03:51:01 PM »
this is an answer to a question i've been asked a lot lately. is there is daz/dre beef? obviously daz still has major beefs and jealosy towards dre. daz spent years hanging onto suge's falling empire trashing dre, lying about what he did and discrediting dre. once daz finally decided to be his own man and leave death row he expected everything to be fine and dandy. but when no one would sign him, including dre, daz got pissed and when dre didn't invite him on up in smoke i'm sure daz got even more upset. but what did he expect? you can't say shit daz said about dre and expect dre to welcome him back with open arms. dre won't respond to disses or dis back but believe me he doesn't forget. and just when things might be becoming more positive, daz for some reason decideds to open his mouth and trash dre again in the source.so i doubt whether you'll see daz and dre work much together, if at all, in the future. but you never know. it seems like daz is mad at everyone and is diggin his own grave(career wise).
daz is doin the independent thing, which is a smart move and is back producing hot tracks again.a big reason for daz's better production recently is Mike dean. he plays the instruments and is a proven talent as a producer. daz isn't giving him enough credit. daz is an inconsistent dude. one minute hes on the right track and the next minute hes off it again.
the daz/pac album is really confusing. first of all daz doesn't have the permission or an agreement to release it. secondly, the $500 dollar price tag on the album was the most ludicrous thing i've ever heard. i wonder what daz was smokin when he came up with that idea? then daz posts a message on his site claiming to have sold all these copies. yeah right! all of a sudden the price is below $50 dollars. if he was selling as many as he was claiming he would be the biggest idiot in the world to lower the price $450 bucks!!! if your selling so well at 500 you would either keep it the same price or raise it til people won't buy it anymore. and to the people who bought it at 500 (if anyone did) - how do you know you're gonna get the album? what if it never comes out, would you get your money back? how do you know daz is gonna send it to you 5 months from now after you've already paid him. i don't know what daz is up to, but it is pretty suspicious. who knows whats goin on in his head. he seems to have some problems. he's got a lot of talent and i hope he stays on the right track one of these days.

Hardcore Pac fans. I'm a pretty huge Pac fan but I got the sense to not buy a album for $500 dollars, especially an ep. Maybe if I got two boxed sets worth of music but not a 8 track disc. Daz is just tryin to rip off people. I'm still laughin at the people who bought it at $500.

I don't know what's up with Daz but I hope he stays away from doing music with Snoop & Dre and continue to work with folks like my boy from Rap-A-Lot Mike Dean.  Cuz that DPG with him & Dean behind the boards and Kurupt was so official it makes me understand why I still refuse to purchase Snoop & Dre albums post the DR era.
Keep it G'd Daz & Kurupt.

i kinda feel sorry for daz,, cause he is all alone and goin crazy, just like i felt sorry for dre when he left the row and was all alone and couldnt do shit.

maybe he will get back on track in the right direction, but i doubt it, just like we said before daz flips every other minute that why he is on the right track on one minute and on the wrong track at another minute.

but i think dre should be the bigger man and open the door to daz and forget daz's bullshit, that will get daz feellin weird and he will probly apoligize

dre was once at the same place as Daz when he left Death Row, true. now look what dre did, how he moved thangz, now he's sellin millions of records again after he started at 0 when he left DR.

daz cant do that, he's tryin to be smart but he cant, he's jealous that Dre sells that much, doin movies etc

huh i really dont know whats goin on, if he said that on the radio, that hes gonna work on detox. have u seen the latest  source issue, they got a Dillinger & Young Gotti interview-review type thing and Daz clearly said 'If dre stepped in and would say thats no good, he would remix it to get his name on it'...'thats why i dont fucc no more with dre'

same bout snoop 'we still kicc it together but dont do music anymore'

when did DAZ ever kiss Dre's ass? all he said on the radio was 'I'll be working with Dre on Detox' thats hardly kissing ass.

i dont care if they work together or not, i like all the music they put out. would be nice to have Dre working on the DPGC album but whatever happens happens
