Chino XL
« on: July 18, 2001, 06:44:24 AM »
This cat has some wild lyrics and is no doubt talented, but i think he crosses the line sometimes with his lyrics.

I just heard Wake up show with xzibit, tha mexicans and Chino XL, here's what he said:

"a dead man walking like makaveli"

"Like D.O.C getting his voice back, it aint never happening"

The names are cut out but u can still hear that's what he is saying...

What do y'all think

those 2 are both cool lines but they do step too far with the makaveli one expecially

he hated 2pac, they were big enemies.  Anyways does anyone know where I can cop his first album, I cant find it anywhere. In my eyes "here to save you all" is a classic album.

No they were'nt, Chino XL just said something about 2pac getting raped in jail in one of his lines. 2pac then dissed him on 'Hit 'Em Up'. Chino XL disses loads of people in his lines 2pac was'nt the only one.

Use any download tool (limewire, bearshare ets....) and search for tha mexicans - wake up show... that's the song featuring xzibit and Chino XL... It's not a recent track, i think it was right before xzibit dropped his second album.

Peace

I know that guy dissed Tupac and I see he still having a go at him. Didn't this guy bring out one album and then disappear from the rap game for a while after he got dissed from Tupac?

Can't believe this guy is back. He's got some mad lyrics but I ain't a fan of hiz.

First of all yes they did hate each other.  They went back and forth all the time.  Chino even had a whole freestyle dedicated to dissin Pac.  And saying the guy has no talent at all is just rediculous, hes one of the top emcees out there, (even though he doesn't have a deal right now) saying that is just ignorant.  I dont agree with what he said about Pac, but hes still in my top 3 list of emcess which also includes Ras Kass and Canibus.

When he says 'a dead man walking like Makaveli' he could mean 2pac faked his death, i.e people think hes dead but hes still walking, really need the whole verse to interpret what he means...
