Burton is hir or miss IMO... his best stuff is great, his worst i crap.

yeah this film is "based" on a true story. I remember my dad telling me the story about ten years ago. Sweeneys wife used to make pies from the bodys, and this aint no lie but they were regarded as the best pies in the area and people used to come from miles around to eat these pies.

the movie looks good, but its musical twist puts me off.

The acting was great. The plot was dope. Everything was interesting except...

...The singing.

^ yea, i only saw the first 30 min, and im going to finish it, but i hate musicals, especially drama/suspense musicals, it doesn't go together

I feel you guys on the musical part...but that's what made this shit special, I guess. I'm also not into musicals, but this shit was crazy.

i completely agree with that.  i had never seen a musical before, so it just kinda ruined it when they just broke into song.  it seemed really forced.
