n an ongoing search for a new sound, Chuck D, and Public Enemy are giving fans the chance to shine. Chuck has launched SlamJamz.Com with a contest that allows fans to download an acapella from a P.E. classic, remix it with their own beat and upload it back to the site to have a chance to produce a track for the upcoming P.E. album.

Every week until September, Chuck will post a new P.E. classic for fans to remix. They're asking that fans have an open mind and be creative and experiment not only with traditional hip-hop but Drum N' Bass, Blues, Country, and Rock. The four grand prizewinners will take home a $1000 cash prize and be able to produce a track for P.E.'s upcoming album. You have until August 31 so get on it!
