Kobe is definitely on the verge of moving. I doubt if he will be a Laker after the 2nd half of the season. Chicago and Dallas (2 of Kobe's choices) are both in SERIOUS talks with the Lakers to acquire Kobe and these aren't 1 sided talks.

Kobe is either going to Chicago for Nocioni/Gordon/T.Thomas/Noah/Draft Picks/Cash or Dallas for Howard/Terry/Fillers/Draft Picks

Coincidently the front runner (and the team offering the best package) was Dallas! But out of fear of sending Shaq to a Western Conference team and respect for his wishes they sent him to Miami. Dallas was offering us Nash/Walker/Howard + the #5 draft pick that they got from Washington in the Jamison deal.

So right now our roster could look somethin like...

Andrew Bynum / Chris Mihm
Ronny Turiaf / Antoine Walker / Brian Cook
Josh Howard / Luke Walton / Vladamir Radmanovic
Kobe Bryant / Javaris Crittenton / Sasha Vujacic
Steve Nash / Jordan Farmar
