Anyone Got A Surround Sound System?

I'm thinking about getting a 5 speaker system for my tv, stereo and such, but I don't know where to start... ive seen systems range as low as $100 to as high $1000, do i need a subwoofer? I'm really considering this, so please holla back........

YO you can get a tight ass system for around $200-$350 theres really no need 2 spend more than that cuz u can get a tight one for around that price. I got mine from best buy it ran me about $320 after taxes..and a sub woofer is a MUST have they sound coo w/out em but if u wanna bump you need the sub woofer mine only came with a 50 watt sub but it hits hard as hell my neighbors called the cops on me once but bein in cali the cops didnt give a fuck it took em 3 n a half hours 2 get here anyways. when i was lookin for mine i discovered that BEST BUY and CURCUIT CITY had the best systems for the best prices, also if you guys have a GOOD GUYS in your town peep there 2 they have a prtty good selection. BUT if you want your VCR to work w/the suround sound you have to make sure you have a HI-FI VCR, you probably already know that but just in case you didnt i wanted to let you know, you need 2 cop a DVD player too i got mine when i got my suround sound then i bought the up in smoke tour DVD and MURDER WAS THE CASE they both sound tight as hell on DVD so if you dont have one you should get 1

a have surround sound, but i don't have a woofer. My 2 front speakers do the woofer job, they actually ground speakers but i got 'em on the wall, i gotta let them hang in chains so they don't fall down when i'm blowing the stereo. Don't remember what i paid though

My TV does 5.1 it has front left and right built in + a centre and the front of the tv and a sub deeper inside plus there are two satellites

the sub aint that great.. but its good enuf.

i'll get a separate amp at some point but i dont have the space right now.. and i cant really be bothered

my stereo system amp does pro-logic but as my tv handles it now all it does is now is play music from my CD player, Record Deck or my DAP plugged into the Aux

its mad actually.. i bought my TV in the january sales xmas 99 and the price for the same spec model still hasnt come down below £800 most places and i paid £699
