What is going on with some of our most popular rap stars? Is it lack of discipline? Is there something in the water? Stress? Peer pressure? Are their actions being blown up out of proportion? What's the deal? Its a question some of us are asking after getting word of Hip Hop's latest mishap which centers around Beanie Sigel. According to initial reports, Beanie was charged with assault for attacking a man in South Philadelphia. Ironically the block where the attack took place was on Sigel street where Beanie took his name..Reuters news service reported the incident this way;

The 27-year-old gangsta rapper, whose real name is Dwight Grant, allegedly used his Bentley to stop a passing motorist from getting by a group of his friends who had gathered on Sigel Street on July 5.

Police said the motorist, Frank Ferrer, 31, of Philadelphia, was trying to pass when he heard a loud bang and the group suddenly began shouting at him. Sigel then allegedly pulled his Bentley in front of Ferrer's Ford pickup and kicked and punched Ferrer when the man got out of his truck.

Ferrer was treated at a local hospital for a broken rib, an eye injury and a contusion.

This can not fair well when one considers that Jay Z, Beanie's mentor is still facingcharges for assault and gun possession. Sigel himself had assault and weapons charges against him dismissed earlier this year. A woman accused him of threatening her with a gun after he spilled a drink on her.. One can only speculate what this latest drama will mean. I can say one thing.. It'll be yet another thing folks point at when trying to justify banning Hip Hop..

He is a idiot. Already got charges against him and assaults a man knowing damn well he wouldn't get away with it.

He's going to get sued. He'll get away without jail time but he'll really have to pay up.
