Teams, including the Mavericks, that want to inquire about Kobe Bryant's availability and price tag have a perfect opportunity later this week at the NBA's Board of Governors meeting in New York. Los Angeles Lakers owner Dr. Jerry Buss is expected to attend, as is Mavericks owner Mark Cuban.

It's speculation at this point since everybody is on the trading block when the owners get together.

GangstaBoogy, actually i don't give a fuck about this news. I mean they can even have a dinner togheter, but i don't see Cuban offering Dirk. So i don't see Kobe ending up in Dallas.

here is the thing. Kobe is the only player that has 100% no trade clause. And all the trades the Lakers want to make will be against Kobe. He wants to play with who the Lakers want in return, so he turns down the deals because he wants to play with a Dirk, not be traded for him.

Obviously not everybody will be happy after such a trade. But the question is, is there a possibility that would leave everybody happy if they don't trade this month? This can be doubted.

I think Kobe would rather continue as a Laker with the possiblity of a great trade, then get traded now and be stuck in a bad situation. Right now, there is a better chance the Lakers trade for a good number 2 man (slim chance) than Kobe being traded and being in a situation which he'll be on a winner (none). The Lakers aren't trading Kobe without getting a star in return.

Kobe will be happy when everyone realizes that all he wants to do is contend and play on a team that can accommodate his talent...what he said was supposed to push the Lakers to become that team, but all the media-groupies turned it into some frenzy...no deals have been considered for Kobe. Buss hasn't pursued a trade for Kobe. Kobe's will is to remain a Laker and win. That's still a possibility, mutherfuckers...PeACe
