My missus just bought me a PS3, i now have all the NextGen consoles..some q's...

Alright guys, so i get home yesterday and i get this great suprise! anyway, i go out this morning to get a HDMI > HDMI cable to improve the res/quality and now the background is some murky brown!!

(it was black last night)

is it true it changes colour at different times of the year and fades from light to dark as the daylight changes? ive read this and although it sounds good in principal that brown is fucking with my style lol! i just want the sleek glossy black menus!! any idea if it can be changed to stay one color?!?!

also, any suggestions for games/apps etc? i know FUCK ALL about PS3s! Never even owned a PS/PS2 before!

yeh man my friend has it on xbox360.... shit is crazy... the graffics are insane and there is all these cool features to it... game play is a 10 outta 10. i bought it on pc but my pc cant keep up with it and it wont work on it.... but definatley a game i would buy if i had a ps3 or xbox.

I use HDMI with my 360 and never experienced any color changes. Did you change ur video setting? And also try adjusting the black level settings in the video system blade for the 360. If you're  talking PS3  than I have no idea sorry

just joking, you should check for virtua fighter 5, the graphics are awesome. Grand turismo 5 is gonna be something 2. I dont know about stranglehold but i just checked for for screens and this looks like a game version of hard boiled, which is my favorite woo movie

its a game sequel to hard boiled, it is an amazing game although it is a little short still worth the money.  I need to pick up a hdmi cable for my 360, can i just get any cable? dont really know much about hdmi  ???

You can set a specific background picture if you don't want the changing colour backgrounds.

I'd get yourself signed up for all of the PSN (EU, USA and JPN) stores and download some demos to see what you want to buy games wise.

you wont see a difference that much but if you want to spend your money buy the regular microsoft hdmi cable there's no pratical difference with the monster one
