Civil rights activist Najee Ali, Director of Project Islamic Hope is demanding that singer Jennifer Lopez, apoligize for using the word nigger in her new record that was just released "I'm real" She is also calling on Epic records to pull the offensive recording from its distribution Immediately.

When: Wednesday July 11,2001@ 11:00 am

Where: Leimert park, 3415 W. 43rd street Los Angeles Ca 90008 by the water fountain (Crenshaw&Vernon)

Why? "The N- word should not be used by any artist no matter what ethnic group you are a member of. But to have a non-black artist as popular as Jennifer Lopez is internationally, can only inflame racial intolerance,bigotry,and hatred."stated Najee Ali, Director of Project Islamic Hope.

Yeah Big Pun and J-Lo are both Puerto Rican, but I think tha difference is.....

People who listen to Big Pun are mostly people from urban areas... people who listen to Hip Hop and are already used to rappers sayin "Nigga" in their records... nothin new

Jennifer Lopez does POP music.... more people listen to this, no matter where they're from, what they're about.... when she says "Nigga" it gets around more and more people notice it.... I guess that's why people were quick to jump on her for sayin it..... It's not like they're occusing her of being racist, they know she didnt mean to say it in  a racist way.... but just hearing "NIGGA" on a pop cd is like ":o whoa..... back up"..... you know?

 And I dont know why.... but I'm pretty sure that J-Lo being a woman has alot to do with tha reaction.

And then I'm watchin the channel 9 news and they were talking about the whole thing. Then the idiot who was reppin some organization said somethin along these lines:
