When Tha Alkaholiks split up in 2006 after releasing Firewater, it didn’t feel very permanent to many. That feeling has been vindicated this week, as E-Swift told Allhiphop.com in an interview that, “We’re just taking a little hiatus from Tha Alkaholiks because we all had separate projects.” The California DJ went on to say that the split was really a hiatus for each member to do their own thing, because for nearly 10 years they toured and recorded non-stop. E-Swift also said there will be a new Alkaholiks album eventually. He even commented on a reunion of the Likwit Crew for an album, telling the website “Everybody from Tha Alkaholiks, Xzibit, Defari, Madlib, Lootpack, everybody. We’re like the legendary Likwit Crew from the West Coast and we haven’t really put out an album yet, collectively that one major album.” Don’t look now, but the Left Coast is starting to reassemble a strong lineup, between Ras Kass and the ‘Liks reunion... Told Ya'll!!!
