Mos Def wants to work with Kanye West on his new record

Before the ink has dried on his new deal with Downtown Recordings, rapper Mos Def is back in the studio working on a new album.

According to Downtown head Josh Deutsch, super producer/rapper Kanye West will produce several tracks on Mos's album, which has not yet been given a title. West and Mos are no strangers, Mos Def recently did a cameo on Kanye's "drunk and hot girls" which appeared on the Chicago Mc's 3rd album "Graduation."

Mos Def's last album "Tru3 Magic" did not do so well selling 86,000 in the united states and downtown records has no intentions of re-releasing it on their label. Before its actual release it was pushed back numerous times-- by the time it was released any kind of buzz fans had for the album was apparently gone.

No word as to who else will be working on the album has arrived yet.
