CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) Linda Hogan has filed for divorce from her wrestler husband Hulk Hogan, a newspaper reported Friday.

Hulk Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, told the St. Petersburg Times that he had no idea his wife had filed for divorce. He was informed by a reporter that Pinellas County court records showed that the paperwork was submitted Tuesday.

"Thank you for the great information," he told the reporter.

Family spokesman Adam Handelsman referred calls to another spokesman, who did not immediately respond Friday night.

"My wife has been in California for about three weeks. ... Holy smokes," Bollea later told the newspaper. "Wow, you just knocked the bottom out of me."

The couple star in the VH1 reality TV series "Hogan Knows Best," with their two children. Recent episodes show the normally close couple attending marital counseling, but they eventually reconcile.

On Nov. 7, Hogan's son, 17-year-old Nick Bollea, was arrested on reckless-driving charges after a car crash. Clearwater police said Bollea crashed his 1998 Toyota Supra on Aug. 26 while street racing against a silver Dodge Viper driven by a friend. A report said Bollea was driving faster than 60 mph in a 40 mph zone.

Bollea's passenger, John Graziano, was not wearing a seat belt and was critically injured. Bollea, who was wearing a seat belt, was not seriously injured.

The Hogans moved to a $12 million bayfront estate on Miami Beach in 2006 so their children, Brooke and Nick, could pursue singing and acting careers. They had previously lived in Clearwater, near Tampa.

This is exactly what I just donīt understand:

Tampa Bay Online has an article up about the latest in the Hulk Hogan divorce case. The article states that in the divorce proceedings she filed, Linda requested that wherever she ends up living should be the permanent residence of Nick Hogan and that Hulk will get "liberal visitation." She also requested child support from Hulk, that Hulk pay for Nick's medical insurance, and that a life insurance policy be taken out that would cover all future child support of Hulk dies. She also wants to equally divide all of their assets and property.

This has to be the best part of it though.

Linda also wants Hulk to pay her attorney costs since she claims she cannot afford an attorney.

Not that it isnīt enough that she wants half of his money and properties now she wants him to pay for her lawyer? Bitch donīt get divorced if you canīt afford it. lol

If I was married and would sit all day at home and my wife would bring the money home then I would feel so STUPID to demand half of the shit after getting divorced. No way I would do that. I canīt understand that shit. She lived a life that she probably wouldnīt have had if she hadnīt met Hulk (moneywise). Be grateful for it and donīt demand anything more. What the fuck? Want a lawyer? Bubba called her a "golddigging bitch" and said that getting divorced from her is the best thing that has ever happened to Hulk. He also said that Hulk is looking to sell their family mansion and move into a condo near where Bubba lives.

1) From what I know, he only mentioned starting a new federation once so I highly doubt he has any real plans in doing so & 2) even if he does takes this seriously & finds an investor who the hell is he gonna sign??? Everyone is either at TNA or WWE or they're doing their little independent thing (might I add not too many past superstars are doing that). Oh & 3) His federation will never beat TNA

Lawyer for Nick Hogan crash victim says Hogan divorce may be ruse...

Kimberley Kohn, a Tampa attorney who represents Ed Graziano, the father of injured passenger John Graziano, says the Hogan divorce is a move to protect assets and is more a ruse than a real divorce.

The Graziano family is planning on filing a lawsuit against the Hogans and Kohn says that the Hogans are divorcing in order to force the Graziano's to go after both of them separately which makes the entire process more difficult. In all likelyhood, they will only go after Hulk Hogan since the cars used in the wreck are likely under his name alone, and now with him getting divorced, his assets will likely be cut in half (with the other half going to Linda), thus assuring the Hogans that they will retain at least half their fortune in a worst case scenario.

John Graziano has been hospitalized since August after being the passenger in Nick Hogan's car which ended up getting in a wreck. John will now likely need a lifetime of nursing home care.

Nick Hogan is facing a felony charge of reckless driving with serious bodily injury.
