I was just playing my ps1 ultimate mk and if you are into this game, what's your favorite character(s) and why?


I like smoke..that grey ninja....just dope looking fool.

Since a kid I always was a fan of all the ninjas, especially Reptile & Ermac. The robots were cool too, my favorite out of them was Cyrax. Shang Tsung was another favorite but they completely fucked him up in MK3, I don't know, they made him look like a clown or something with all the painting on his face & gay outfit. Anyone remember Kintaro??? He always was my favorite when it came to the bosses. He always was better than Goro, no question. Anyways, look at the new bosses now, they completely suck (their designs). The MK team used to be so creative when it came to designing character's outfits & looks, it's a shame.

I didn't like mk 4 to current games.  I thought shao khan was dope!  Ermac was cool...  what was his fatality?

Damn this is way back. I can't even remember most of the characters names now. I liked most of the ninjas and robots. Sub Zero, Scorpion, Smoke, and Cyrax come to mind. Maybe I'm confused but what was the name of the black ninja? This thread has made me really nostalgic.

either scorpion of shang tsung .. i was a real geek when it came to mortal kombat and street fighter in highschool, i spent nearly all my free time for ~ 2-3 months memorising the moves, so when i got shang tsung i could morph into someone, then know their moves and not have to worry about it
