I like master P, i dont like all of his songs..but i dont expect him or any of his artist to break any new ground..they are in it to make money.....i can put some of there music on and bump the fuck out of it..and ride to it..or when i throw a party....some music out there is great..and should be held to a higher standard...but P and no limit may or may not change..he is makin money.......and makin hits.....he is southern...and no limit still sells well down south....i dont like everything they put out.....but some songs...get my head to nod...
I was feeling bout dat......

Did Master P actually ever play in the NBA? I never thought so, but th album cover of his compilation had him in a game wearing a Charlette Hornet jersey, and I heard he played in the NBA before somewere, but I doubt it...Anyone know the FULL story?

I Live In Charlotte
He Was Trying REALLY Hard To Play. He Tried Out For The Hornets (That's How He Got The Jersey), And the News Made A Big Deal Over It. He Did Pretty Good, But They Didn't Pick Him Up, They Cut Him. He MAY Have Been Signed For A Week or So In The Summer, But I Don't Think So. He Did Practice With The Team For Several Days, He's Alright.
I Saw Him In Concert Here (HEY! I Went to See Snoop...) And At The End, He Said That He Hoped to Be Playing For The Toronto Raptors Soon. So, He Tried Out With Them Too, but Never Got Signed.
I Still Say He's Got Balls To Try It, He'd Take A Hellofa Pay Cut for It, But That's What He Wanted To Do, Hence The "Real" Label.

I used to be a big No LImit fan. From 96-early99, 70% of the music I bought was No Limit. Beats By The Pound are one of the best production teams from the south. No Limit dropped some real gems too. I liked P's solo albums from 96, 97, and 98. THe, in 1999, things changed. While I felt all of the previous TRU albums, I thought the last one was okay. The I bought Master P's Only God Can Judge Me. I can't believe the utter wackness I heard. Every No LImit album since then, besides Da 504 Boyz, has been crap. I don't count Snoop because his sound isn't the No Limit sound. No Limit has lost 80% of their roster. Mystical, Snoop, Mr. Serv-ON, Kane & Able, and Fiend have all left for greener pastures. The real loss is Beats By The Pound. THey are now called The Medicine Men and their production is still in demand for a lot of southern rappers. No Limit has became pure wackness. Their sales have declined big time. P went from 2x & 4x Platinum albums to barely going Gold. His brothers went from Platinum to not even going Gold. The only hope for his lable lies in the record sales of his 11 year old son. That's sad. I'm not going to hate on the man. He's a successful businessman. But maybe he should put his lable up for sale and concentrate on his other business ventures.
