Go to your profile and there should be a place that says "I have my own picture". You check it there and then you can put in the link and ta-da!!! It should work.

try right clicking on the picture and then select properties and then after that there should be a spot in the middle where it has an address ending with .jpg or .gif then just copy that and paste it in that one spot where you edit your profile
